Your Mom Is Not A Valid Test Market.

Here's one way to get VCs to pay attention to your start-up: make snarky t-shirts that make fun of, um, entrepreneurs. That's VCWear's strategy. The company sells t-shirts boasting one-liners like "Don't Pitch Me, Bro," "I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU ARE SAYING," and "F-- It—I'll Fund that." While the shirts are funny (depending on which side of the conference table you're sitting on), VCWear's goal is, obviously, to make cash.

Right now their t-shirts cost $25 bucks a pop, and say the plan is to sell to just 1% of the VC population, after which point they'll be set—and they have an awesome slideshow pitch to prove it. The VCWear site also offers a buy it now option, where someone with a great sense of humor and a lot of money can drop $100K for the whole operation.

But is this whole thing even for real? Says the site's FAQ: "Unfortunately, it looks to be that way."
