While I get that Facebook is just a HOTBED of information for marketers, business, and people trying to sell stuff, I have to question the sanity of someone who sells FB profiles on eBay. That's right, someone slapped together ten fake profiles—complete with 200 friends each—and has posted them for sale on the auction site, reports Valleywag. The seller is ostensibly looking to auction of these profiles to whatever shady marketer will buy them for the highest dollar.

Frankly, it strikes me that this guy (girl?) went to a whole lot of work for nothing. While marketers apparently salivate over the idea of tapping into Facebook networks, have any of them actually been on the site and read what goes on there? "Sarah to Mike: How's Oslo? Looking forward to seeing you! Pound some Aquavit for me!"; "Lucy is attending Larry's 30th birthday. Let's get wasted!"; "Nadia can't wait til happy hour!" About the only thing I can ascertain from that is that my group of friends are a bunch of drinkers, and let's face it, Anheuser-Busch and crew managed to figure out that people in their 20s like to drink a long time ago.
