Weekly Round-Up: Lessons In Customer Service and Other Less Boring Stuff.

-Netflix showed us how to manage a major screw up the right way. Hint: an apology and freebies go a long way. Putting customers on hold for hours? Not so much.

-Yes, we all know that inflation is high right now, and that the cost of goods is up. But are things so bad that restaurateurs think they can get away with charging $8 for a nectarine and calling it a dessert? Why, actually yes.

-Just for the good measure: VC investment isn't free money. It's cash you have to give back at least eight times over. Cool?

-While there's many not-so-nice things you could probably say about flopped start-up Agami, we've gotta give them credit on one count: anyone who's capable of blowing through $45 million in six months is good with us. That takes skills, people!

-Here are the three main people you need to get your small business going: a lawyer, an accountant, and a business plan consultant. Sadly a personal chef, chauffeur, and masseuse don't count as legit start-up costs.

-Seinfeld's shilling for Microsoft. Seriously.

-iPhone, watch out.
