"Blackwater May Have Fudged Numbers to get $100M in SBA Contracts." (via ABC News).
Blackwater, as you may recall, is the controversial private security firm contracted to work alongside the army in Iraq. They are not a small business. Yet the managed to secure more than $100 million in Small Business Adminstration contracts last year. And what's worse is that sort of thing appears to be pervasive. As Lloyd Chapman notes at the Huffington Post:
"This appears to be yet another example of a never-ending stream of federal investigations that have all found the Bush administration to have diverted billions of dollars in federal small business contracts to some of the largest corporations in the world."
