This week won't go down as the rosiest in American economic history, but there are few bright spots. Thinking about launching a green business? Get your business plan. News hit the wire today that venture capital investment in green start-ups has continued to surge this quarter—to the tune of a whopping $2.8 billion.
That figure is higher than first and second quarter investments in green tech this year, and beat out last year's numbers as well, suggesting that the investment in this industry (surprise, surprise), is trending upward. While sure, it's not the most riveting news, we thought we'd offer a day brightener. Quite frankly, it's exciting that anyone received that much funding during the past few months.
Now back to financial Armageddon.
