We like fashion as much as the next person. But something feels a little off about these: baby stilettos. Heelarious is a start-up in (where else?) L.A. that launched its line of faux high heels for infants size 0-6 months about two months ago. Really. These plastic heels have gotten play on Good Morning American, and on the ABC and CBS evening new broadcasts (because they're newsworthy?)—but despite the press, would anyone outside the bubble that is Southern California actually buy these for their baby?
Of course, they're not without controversy either. Some moms say they're adorable, while others say that they rob babies of their innocence. Neither makes a ton of sense to us. We think that the real trouble with the start-up is that nothing about their business model screams long-term success given that they're selling a single novelty product.
But what do you think? Go ahead and get all judgemental in the comments section below.

I guess will have to let the market and the superficiality of today's parents dictate the success of this one. Being a parent I always hearken to the wisdom of Chris Rock, "you have one job in life when you have a daughter... keep your baby off the pole."
