Ask most Americans what their biggest concern politically is right now, and most will tell you that it's the economy, stupid. The same is doubly true of entrepreneurs whose income and security is often at the mercy of fluctuating markets. They've been on a wild ride this year. In response, presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama have both announced plans to speak in greater detail about their plans for the economy this week.
Here's our question: as a small business owner or entrepreneur, do you care? How closely will you follow McCain and Obama's speeches regarding the economy? And will what they say influence your vote?
Naturally there's much debate regarding how significantly presidential policy actually impacts the economy, although certain aspects of their fiscal plan—such as how they plan to structure taxes—could have an immediate and significant impact on small business. What do you think?
