This results of this week's survey (Q: Are you getting an iPhone?!) were surprising. With all hype shrouding the 3G roll out, I expected most of you to say that you'd be racing to the nearest Apple store on July 11 for the goods.
I stand corrected.
Only one surveyee admitted that they planned to camp out for the phone—although no word yet on whether you'll actually need to pitch your pup tent on the 11th. A few of you expressed vague interest, and the rest of you said that you're just fine with your current mobile.
?!?!
Naturally the idea behind dropping the price of the next gen iPhone was to reach a broader audience—people just like you. So what gives? One reply was that the iPhone simply wasn't tempting enough for the pricetag, and that your old cell works just fine, thank you. Another response from a current iPhone user was that the increased speed wasn't enough to warrant buying a new one. And yet another one of you said that if Apple donated some of its scratch to charity, that you might consider buying in.
Anyone else want to weigh in? Sounds like Steve Jobs and crew still have some work to do...or are you guys just a particularly tough crowd?
