More Money: Another Good Week For Tech (Geeks).

-Correlix, a start-up that analyzes trading and "market-data flows" in real time, secured $8 million in second round funding this week. They plan to use the investment to take their main product, Latency Intelligence, global.

-California-based start-up Data Robotics announced that they raised $15 million in fourth round funding this week. The company produces "data robots," which are external backup storage units targeted at individuals and small businesses who need to back up large amounts of data. While the company has a myriad of competitors—including HP, Dell, and Netgear—the company offers simpler, easy-to-use software that so far hasn't been trumped by the big guys. The cash infusion will be used to expand sales, product development, and their global reach.

-Expressor Software, a data management software developer, scored $10 million in VC funding this week. The five-year-old start-up will direct the investment toward developing the next generation of its software, expanding its sales team, and augmenting product support.

-Runcom Technologies, an Israeli chip company, also raised $10 million in VC investment.
