Money, Money, Money

Looking for funding? Here's our short list of the lucky few who nailed it this week:

-Ontela, a company that makes image software platforms for cell phones and other wireless devices (read: makes it easier for you to shoot and transfer pix with your Motorola), scored $10 mill in VC funding, bringing their total funding to $15 million so far. Via Seattle P-I.

-Whrrl secured $15 million in second round funding for its "mapping and micro-blogging technology" service that allows users to see each other's locations and what they're doing in real time, says CNet. Great news for Whrrl, but haven't these VCs heard about what happened to Meetro, a similar business, last week?

-Skyfire, a mobile browsing start-up, raised $13 million in second round funding. Skyfire offers users full web browsing ability instead of the hyper-simplified versions offered on other mobile devices (yes, I know, barring iPhone). The Company plans to use the cash to "ramp up its campaign" against other mobile browsers. Via VentureBeat.
