Here's shocking news: a new study says that the venture capital industry is (still) dominated by white men. A whopping 86% of the respondents—VCs who are actually investing or who are principal partners—were male, according to the report by the National Venture Capital Association and Dow Jones VentureWire. A full 88% of VCs surveyed were white. Only 1% was African-American, 2% were Hispanic, and 8% were Asian Pacific (No word on who comprised the remaining 1%).

While those stats aren't great, says National Venture Capital Association President Mark Heesen, he adds that the "face of venture capital in 2020 will be much different than it is today." While that's a nice idea, we're not sure which stats he's looking at...
