It Has Begun.

Well, tomorrow's the big day. And if you know exactly what I'm referring to it's because Apple planned it that way. The 3G iPhone hits stores tomorrow, and while so far the reviews have been mixed, that hasn't stopped crazed Apple fans from treating the phone's release as the second coming. As early as last Friday, a group of about ten people were camped outside the Apple store on 5th Ave. in NYC. That is, until the cops put a stop to it, reports Engadget. (Turns out they were trying to break a record.) Not to be topped by that, another fanboy actually flew to New Zealand to get his 3G a day early—so he could take it apart for all to see on his blog. And some eBay seller hired another eBayer to stand in line for him for $1200 outside the Vegas Apple store (if anyone can make any sense of that, please clue me in).

Regardless of how you feel about the iPhone, you have to give the Apple marketing department and its epic hype machine credit. If those previous anecdotes weren't enough, lines (for a second gen phone, mind you) are already growing outside Apple stores for tomorrow's 8 AM release. Although, in our opinion, the party doesn't officially start until iLoser shows up.

So are you pitching your pup tent outside an Apple store tonight, planning on laughing at the people who do, or...are you already there!?
