Now here's something different. Today blog site VentureBeat hosted a "Downturn Roundtable" featuring a group of entrepreneurs talking about how to tackle the economic meltdown. While, yes, VB also held a discussion with a panel of VCs (whose collective advice was basically to "make cuts to your business plan"), it's the entrepreneurs who strike us as having particularly relevant insight into the downturn. Not only are these the guys actually down in the trenches, but many of them have experience operating (successfully and unsuccessfully) businesses during tough times. Tech blogger Robert Scoble filmed the event, which went long, and we've grabbed it. Brace yourself for plenty of nerd humor:
