Like chess? Like hip-hop? Check out WuChess, a site launched today by former Wu-Tang rapper RZA and ChessPark, a social networking site for chess geeks. The site says it's for chess enthusiasts addicted to hip-hop music (bet there's more of those fans out there than you think), and it offers live games, mp3s, videos, and tourney play. TechCrunch is hating on the website's $48/year fee, to which we say, sure you can play chess for free other places, but where else can you maybe play RZA? Plus it strikes us as lot cooler than fellow '90s rapper LL Cool J's recent bid for entrepreneurial glory. C'mon LL, Sears? Really?

Can you imagine playing chess to the tune of Dr Octagon? I can barely think when he comes on. My basic motor skills go buggy. Never mind focusing on a game of chess.
I might be willing to pay $48 a year to play Go with professional motocross racers. Just throwing that out there.

and in other news... visit WuKnit. The new retail store founded by Wu-Tang rapper ODB - focused on blending hip-hop culture and the urban trend of knitting. For your man who has everything, knit him a cashmere iPod cozy.
