By now Countrywide has been in the news so much for its involvement in the subprime mortgage mess that you probably know CEO Angelo Mozilo by name—and not in a good way.

Well, Mozilo's had enough. Seriously, that whole mortgage crisis thing? So not Countrywide's fault! At their annual meeting, he told Countrywide shareholders:

"Countrywide has made a positive impact on the country," says Mozilo. "I'm very proud of our accomplishments."
